The minimum rental period is usually seven nights, especially in high season. If you want to stay for a longer period, there will be an extra charge, related to the length of your stay. Again, exceptions can be made, and most owners try to accommodate your needs. Low season is a good period for shorter stays! The weather is often lovely, and since there are less bookings, everything goes at a calmer pace, and owners can be more flexible. Can I get in contact with earlier renters to hear what they think about a property? Sometimes we can arrange that, but we must also respect the privacy of our guests. Most homes have a guestbook, and we encourage all renters to write a comment about their stay. That way, we can let you know how other people have experienced the place. Has someone from RivieraHolidayRentals seen all of the homes on the web site? Yes we have, you can rest assured. We live on the Côte d´Azur ourselves, and most of the properties belong to our friends and neighbours. We´ll be happy to try to answer all your questions about these homes. Just send us a line – fill in the question form on this page - and we will get back to you promptly. How do I book one of your private homes? It is very easy. When you have found a property that you are interested in, just fill in the request form on the page and send it to us. We will then check availability with the owner, and get back to you. (See "Info: This is how it works".) Should a property not be available, we´ll try to find you an alternative. We also have a few properties that are not listed on the web site. What language will the contract be written in? The rental agreement will be in English. It contains all the necessary information about the rental (see "Info: This is how it works".) When and how much do we pay? Owners usually request 40 percent of the rent on booking. The balance is due 50 days before arrival, or on arrival, according to the wishes of the owner. Wire transfer instructions will be sent out on booking. We can take credit cards, but only using Paypal. Do you request a security deposit? A reasonable security deposit, compatible with the amount of the rent and the quality of the accommodations, is usually requested. What is the security deposit used for? The security deposit is used to reimburse owners, should something a little more costly become damaged or broken. It can also be used to pay for telephone expenses. Virtually all security deposits are fully refunded, either on departure or within 14 days, according to the agreement with the owner. Are there fees and costs besides the rent? Water and electricity is included, and in most cases the final cleaning. Linens might not be included, but can often be rented for 20 euros per person. As soon a you get from us the exact rental price for the week/weeks you are looking for, you will also know what is included and what is not. Sometimes, you can for example get access to a telephone or an internet connection after agreement with the owner. Telephone usually comes at an extra charge. How do we get the keys when we get there? Most probably, you will be met on-site someone from RivieraHolidayRentals, who will show you the place and give you the keys. You will always have the contact details for at least one person. Do you have inexpensive rentals? Yes, we have small and cosy little places, and we have large exclusive ones.
